Since I’ll have to leave my brushes behind for one or two days, I couldn’t wait to start putting some base layers… Or are them under-layers…? I started jumping from place to place with my two main flesh-base tones; Red Beige and Magenta from Vallejo… And started applying lights, using drybrush of Light Sea Gray…

40k/AoS – Skaveiathrax – Great Unclean One – Greater Demon. Part-1
Am I ready to tackle Papa G’aap? Only one way to know… Let’s go for it, and I’ll try and make justice to this wonderfully detailed, and putridly expensive baby-head-sized abomination of a sculpture… miniature… toy soldier thing, of sorts. In my mind, Nurgle and Death Guard have always been one and the same army……
40K – Nurgle Demons – Plaguebearers.
This was fun! I might have struck a happy chord by painting a bunch of miniatures in batch.. Could be called “speed-paint”, maybe… But I just didn’t second-guess myself and didn’t edge-highlight, since I didn’t thought it was necessary for this guys. Other than painting twenty at a time, I think I would have gone…
40K – Death Guard – Myphitic Blight Hauler
One more demonic engine for the list! Falling behind on showing the updates, but I’ve already moved to start painting twenty Plaguebearers and this one had not been shown in it’s time… I haven’t kept any work in progress of the rotten thing… But other than the spray-can base, it was very uneventful. While painting…
My 40K Death Guard – Nurgle soup – NobodyToPlayWith Vectorium, army update.
Not that I know how to play, anyways… But I have been collecting and painting “as if”, lately. Finishing the Nurgle Knight for the ongoing “Jewel of July” community challenge by Azazel, totally motivated me to get the minis out of the shelf and make them march for a group picture. It… stands out. Another…
40k – Death Guard – Typhus, the Traveller & Scribbus Wretch, the Tallyman.
Finished this two characters at last! Not going to lie… Not crazy about the result. While Typhus had been “recently” painted in 2015, and I can see an improvement… Somehow, it’s a lot more sloppy and low-fi than what I intended. I’m disgruntled specially because I feel like I destroyed Typhus’ face, on the last…
WIP – 40K – Nurgle Titan Apocrypha. (the Plague Doctor) part_26
After a quick trip home for some unavoidable errands, I got the loose parts I had packed and forgot. All together now. Just missing the two bloatflies, a plume on the rigid incense burner of the arm, and the paint to go on the new parts… Then, removing it from the can, retouch the trim…
WIP – 40K – Nurgle Titan Apocrypha. (the Plague Doctor) part_25
A little update. Some little touches of paint, and some brain actually used to apply sand pigments this time. I used matt medium, and then, dusted the pigment over. Used matt varnish to fix it, but from further than last time… But specially, took some pictures in which the work can be better seen. A…
WIP – 40K – Nurgle Titan Apocrypha. (the Plague Doctor) part_24
Highlights… Lots of edge highlights. And retouches here and there. This is it, at first light… Note to self. Don’t do that. Direct light looks dramatic but kills areas in shadow. Tomorrow I’ll be grabbing the loose bits, and hopefully… After doing some work on the cloth, it might be called finished/abandoned! Any advice/criticism/suggestion, would…
